Caring Staff Makes the Difference

The professional staff of "Homestead At-Home" possess a broad range of clinical skills that ensure that care is timely and responsive. Just as important the team has life-long experience providing services in Lubbock and West Texas and we know first hand what works in the community.

Brian D. Carr, Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist

     Dr. Brian Carr is a Lubbock native and has been in professional practice since 1988. While trained in traditional therapy and psychological services he has maintained a specialized focus in the area of health psychology. He serves as the team psychologist for organ transplant at Covenant Medical Center and University Medical Center and maintains a faculty appointment to the Texas Tech School of Medicine.


Valeri Carr, R.N., Nurse Consultant

     Valeri Carr, R.N. is a Lubbock native and her experience in nursing has encompasses over 27 years of critical care staffing as well as many other specialized hospital services. Since 1996 she has worked in the area of home health and she presently serves as the administrator of Homestead Home Health Services, Inc.


Tammy Hudson, Care Manager

     Tammy Hudson is a Lubbock native who brings over 10 years of experience in the marketplace of health care. She is well known in the medical community related to her familiarity with medical equipment and services. She is central to the Homestead At-Home service and her knowledge of resources is unsurpassed.

Nancy Vera, L.V.N., Care Manager

     Nancy Vera L.V.N. has been a dedicated nurse in West Texas for over 25 years. She has never turned away from a challenge and she has provided care under some of the most difficult circumstances. She serves in the capacity as supervisor of clinical services.
